This is my default setup. For probably 60% of my tasks, this is all I need. I do have two other common setups that I have not yet photographed. One is my photography rig, the other is my recording rig. The photography rig includes a external hard drive (160gb western digital), and my d40x tethered. I use camera control pro 2 and adobe lightroom. Camera control pro 2 does my tethered shooting and downloads everything to a folder on my mac, lightroom imports the photos into the catalog, adds the meta data, and backs them up to the external… This all happens with 1 mouse click. The next setup is recording. It usually consists of the same mouse and keyboard, a m-audio mobile pre (usb recording interface), and soon to be a tube mic preamp. The instruments are guitar or bass. I yet to have a mic for recording acoustic, but that is in the plans. For tools, I use garage band. That pretty much is it. Enjoys!
