Well, to start off this week, yes, I finally bought a new toy. Last friday I picked up my new Nikon D40x (there are already a few photos on my flickr page, and plenty more to come), saturday I bought a telephoto lens to go with it (55mm-200mm, the lens it came with was 18mm-55mm) and a really nice backpack. I went out to the east coast and took a few photos (almost 200) and then out to China town to test the telephoto lens. I realized very quickly that when im zoomed in at 200mm, I really need a tripod, cause I don’t have steady hands. Im loving the camera, and the freedom that a SLR gives me. Im slowly learning how to use manual mode, but ive managed to take some decent photos.
I had monday off because it was my college graduation. Sadly only 2 other people in my class went, oh well. It just kicked in this morning that I am done. Its wierd, cause I was working since march, it already felt like I was graduated and stuff. But now that I have gone through the whole ceremony stuff, it feels… Offical. I feel… different. I dont know quite how to word it, but I feel like I have more of the world open to me now than I did before, if that makes any sence at all. Well, since I am at work, I should probably get to it.
