Now, I just realized, I’ve been introduced here. I just thought I’d check up on what’s up here, and if Jeff has said anything “bad” about the XBOX 360 release being today. Yes, as he said, I am an avid Xbox gamer, and I will probably not be buying a PS3. Doesn’t mean I don’t like it, but I don’t see the point to owning more than one console. Shortly, after all the hype and lineups have died down, me and my brother will be buying an Xbox 360. Looking at the 360 Bundle with the 20 Gig hard drive, but not sure yet. The core system is too basic in my opinion, and the other ones that come with games seem pointless to me, for the added price anyway. Maybe after we get this, I will finally be able to put some distro of Linux on my Xbox. Now, on to why I was here in the first place. Xbox 360.
I don’t know if this is a wise idea for Microsoft to disclose what the iniards of their newest console looks like, but I guess it’s only a matter of time before someone cracked one open, in fact, someone with too much money to waste has probably done it already.
Xbox 360 Guts
In case some of you don’t know, The 360 is running 3 dual core processors clocking in at 3.2 GHz a piece. That’s powerful enough for me, even if Sony does take cues from it and make their PS3 more expensive….I mean more powerful. 512 mb of Ram isn’t a lot, I think they could have done much better there, but all in all, while others may complain that the 360 sucks, I think it will be good enough for me.
In case you were wondering, which most of you probably weren’t, but whatever, I do have other interests other than electronics and Linux, Some of these include cars. That’s about all my interests there. I own a 1993 Asuna Sunfire, which is made by Isuzu, but imported into Canada for it’s first and last year, 1993. It came with a 1.8L DOHC Isuzu Engine that produces 140 HP, and is around 2300lbs stock. I also own a 1990 Isuzu Impulse XS that has 130 HP. All in all between me and my brother we have 3 Asunas, and one Impulse. I also own a 1986 Chevrolet S10 4×4, as a winter vehicle. With all the recent happenings in Winnipeg, including our first snowstorm of the season, I said enough is enough, and I went and bought my 4×4 truck for the winter.
If you haven’t seen the snow, heres some pics.

Well, I think this post is long enough, and I have to go start making supper, so I may post later, and I may not.
