So,
Since my goal for the new year is to make some cash off my photography, I decided to pick out 8 photos from my collection (all from my d40x) and try to submit them to a stock photo site. I went with crestock.com because they allowed me to very easily submit my work, and let me keep all the rights to my work. I can still keep my photos on flickr, and even sell them to another site if I wish. To start, 5 photos were accepted. This alone excited me very much. I figure since I have been doing photography as a serious hobby for <1 year, 5/8 photos accepted by a stock site is a pretty nice ratio (I’ve read of a lot worse, by people much better than me). Now, here is the big news. One of my photos just sold. Now, this isn’t alot of cash. $.25 to be exact. This was because it was a subscription download, but still, its a start. This also shows me that I have a bit of a talent here, and this might be a second source of income… or maybe a primary. NSCC Does have a 2 year photography course.
Update:
Here is the photo so you can all take a look
