Looks like the release date for Vista SP1 and XPSP3 are out. Vista SP1 is expected Feb18, and XP SP3 is Mar 23. I don’t know what to expect for SP3, but SP1 should have some very massive improvements. Possible worth “upgrading” again. Check out the “improvements” for SP1 here, straight from Microsoft them self.

Microsoft replaces Vista kernel in SP1

It looks like the next update to Vista has some serious back end fixs. According to APC this new service pack, will update the kernel so that is is much closer to the “longhorn” kernel that Vista was supposed to ship with. This has many people in fear that this will cause much more flaws [...]

Vista SP1 is done, it doesn’t work, and nobody cares

Microsoft has finally finished work in SP1 for Vista, and nobody has really made any big deal about it. Possibly because it doesn’t work well. Same as SP2 for XP, there is a very large percentage of folks who this just doesn’t work for. Not a suprise really, I left Vista for good old XP [...]
