TSA Confiscating laptops because data is “a threat”

It seems the good old TSA is forcing people to log into there laptop, reveal there documents and search history, and if it doesn’t meet there standards, they will confiscate it. They “assure” us it will be returned within 5-10 days, but how does this help when you are on your way to a board meeting across the country, and you are presenting?

The offical blog of the TSA, and why you had to show your toys

So, as many people remember recently, a lot of airports around the U.S. have been requiring people to take out and show off all there toys… even the power cables for them. Now, this was slightly annoying, and very silly. Where this rant gets interesting is that something has come of this. It seems the the TSA has a official blog, running on there official tsa.gov site, and people have commented and questions these actions. Ready to get really scared? The TSA has read these comments and contacted the airports conducting these searches, and they concluded that there are some rouge TSA local offices that are pushing this rule down. Well these rouge local offices have been dealt with, and these rules have been taken down. I don’t know what surprises me more, the TSA blog, or the fact they listened to comments?
