Microsoft has teamed up with Samsung to bring us the new Surface 2.0 via the sur40. This lovely device can even be wall mounted, which doesn’t really matter because I doubt we will ever touch them.

Earlier this week Microsoft shows us a glimps of the new Surface, something that we are yet to see some real uses for (consumer uses). Engadget has had some hands on time with the, and it looks really sweet. It will be a 40″ 1920×1280 gorilla glass display. Anyways, I’m going to stop talking and just let you watch the video. Everything I wanted… and more

I’m going to type up a full summary tonight when I get home, but for now here is the summary that matters to me.
- Yes, the new iPod is what we though, but so much better, accelorometer, and more
- Yes, they lowered prices, we knew that one too
- Yes, iTunes 8, and yes, it has the smart playlist stuff
- No, there were no really “big suprises”
- Nike+ is part of the touch now, will be in the next update
- iPhone 2.1 will be out friday, and “should” all the bugs and more… haxors get ready!
- Yes, iTunes will now sell HD TV… but its for $2.99 a episode!
- Yes, Steve Jobs is still alive

Monitor power usage from your iPhone

The brainy guys from Current State Software have come out with one of the most creative, and useful apps I have seen yet. It allows you to remotely control and monitor all electronic devices in your house. Basically, you will plug all you stuff (toaster, tv, lights) into a plug and that plug into your wall outlet, from here you can control and monitor it via the software on your iPhone. Now, my only complain is this isn’t real. Its just a concept. Damn it all eh? I would almost give up my HTC Touch, and get a iPhone, just for this software… Almost
