So, a long time ago, many people don’t know that there was almost a Yahoo! AOL merger, but they couldn’t agree on a price. Well, Yahoo! has gone back to AOL and sparked talks up again, but if Microsoft can’t afford Yahoo! Can AOL?

Yahoo rejects!

So, in the Microsoft-Yahoo! news, Yahoo! has turned down the 44.6 Billion dollar offer from Microsoft. They have in turn came back and asked for almost $60 billion. They are requesting $40/per share, as opposed to the $31/per share offered. I suspect we will see weeks to months of bartering and a eventual sale. But that is just speculation

Yahoo’s fate decided today

Today is the day we have all been fearing. Today is when Yahoo’s board of directors decides its decision on Microsoft’s 42 billion dollar offer. Most people right now are assuming it is going to happen, reason being a) yahoo needs the money, and b) Google will take everything and rebrand it. Microsoft has already stated they will keep the Yahoo! brand, and most likly end the MSN brand. This is some of the best news for the face of the internet I have heard in a very long time… as long as Microsoft keeps there word.

Vista SP1 and XP SP3 Release dates

Looks like the release date for Vista SP1 and XPSP3 are out. Vista SP1 is expected Feb18, and XP SP3 is Mar 23. I don’t know what to expect for SP3, but SP1 should have some very massive improvements. Possible worth “upgrading” again.
