The Apple Store has recently been replaced by the beloved yellow sticky note, and it seems the big change is that they have removed any evidence of the white iPhone 4. There were rumor that we would see the white iPhone 4 this year, however with this change it is looking more like its been wiped from history. 9to5mac had a source check Apples inventory system and noticed the white iPhone SKU was completely removed.

iPhone 5 May Have a 3D Camera?
April 4th, 2011 · No Comments · The News
Here is a different kind of rumor for the iPhone 5, it seems AppleInsider has some photos that give hope (or dread) to the idea that the new iPhone may have a 3D camera. This won’t stop me from getting a iPhone 5, but it will be one of the few features on the device I never use.

iPhone Icon Pillows
April 4th, 2011 · No Comments · The News
I love Etsy, I know a few people who sell there and there are always so many cool products. This one caught my eye today, seller Craftsquatch is making pillows based on iPhone (and other common device and product) logos. They are only about $20usd each, which is a good price for such a awesome product. Of course, you will never live down your status of “fanboy” once you fill your couch with these.

iPhone 5 will use Sony Camera Sensor
April 3rd, 2011 · 1 Comment · The News
Sir Howard Stringer (the big cheese at Sony) had a minor slip of the tongue during a WSJ interview. He mentioned that the issues in Japan may delay there shipment of camera sensors to Apple, which likely means they are providing the sensors for the next iPhone. I really hope this is true because though I love my iPhone it doesn’t have the best low light shots, and I’ve always been a Sony camera fan.

iPhone battery not what it used to be?
March 30th, 2011 · No Comments · The News

If the latest iPhone update has caused your battery to drain a bit faster, it may be the addition of there Ping social network. If you never used this (or at least not on your phone), it may be a good idea to go into the restriction settings on your phone and disable it. While your doing that, you should look through what other services you never use, and disable them as well. For example if you never use the GPS, than disable it so that background apps don’t hit it and drain the battery.

The Next iPhone May Have the A5 Chip
March 10th, 2011 · No Comments · The News
Well it looks like there is some further truth to the rumors that the next iPhone (iPhone 4GS? iPhone 5G?) will use the A5 chip (the same that is in the new iPads). It turns out that developers have found a extra model number within the iOS 4.3 XCode 4 bundle that implies a A5 chip within the iPhone. This is exciting news as we are all expecting a mini update to the iPhone this summer, though many are saying it may not happen as they have already released a Verizon version.

Pioneer and Airplay
March 9th, 2011 · No Comments · The News
My Marantz receiver has been acting up lately, and I’ve been thinking its time to upgrade. It sounds like Pioneer is going to be selling me my next amp, check out this sales video and tell me if this is not very cool.
What sells me on it is that the receiver (VSX-1021) supports Airplay right away, meaning I can instantly stream from my MacBook, iPhone or whatever straight to it. Past that the iControlAV2 app will let me use my iPhone (or when I get one, my iPad) to completely control the receiver. MSRP is about $550us and as long as it is powerful enough I might actually have to go out and buy this thing.
