First pics of the google phone!
February 12th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Here it is folks, no longer a rumor or a dream. This is what the Google phone will look like… well, since this is a prototype, that was probably a bit of a exaggeration. Either way, it looks pretty slick. I’m thinking it looks a lot like the Motorola q though. that could just be me though.

Yahoo’s fate decided today
February 8th, 2008 · No Comments · The News
Today is the day we have all been fearing. Today is when Yahoo’s board of directors decides its decision on Microsoft’s 42 billion dollar offer. Most people right now are assuming it is going to happen, reason being a) yahoo needs the money, and b) Google will take everything and rebrand it. Microsoft has already stated they will keep the Yahoo! brand, and most likly end the MSN brand. This is some of the best news for the face of the internet I have heard in a very long time… as long as Microsoft keeps there word.

Microsoft buying yahoo… a good thing?
February 5th, 2008 · No Comments · The News
I was reading a article on Techcrunch and it was talking about how this might be a good thing for this to happen. They mentioned that if Google and Yahoo merge than it would eliminate competition. That Microsoft would bring the Yahoo! brand up to what it once was, the homepage of the internet. And would also help add fuel to Yahoo’s fire of sites and techologies that seem to be struggling due to there lack of value. Lets face it, Yahoo! once ruled the internet, and now they don’t. They need cash, and Microsoft is probably one of the best sources to get it. If they keep the brand, and keep the sites, then this could be a excellent thing. Only time will tell though.

I love stats!
February 4th, 2008 · No Comments · The News
So,this morning I made some big changes to this site. I added a tag cloud, social networking links at the bottom of each post, google ads, and some more suttle things. There is a much larger ajax prescense now, and your posts are automatically checked for spam than approved. Also, I am tracking statictics. Just how many people view the site, and what pages they went to. Nothing personal. I am using a plugin for wordpress that records statistics from the blog.
Also, here is my current flickr stats

This would be better news
February 4th, 2008 · No Comments · The News
Reuters has a article about how Yahoo might be considering going back to the table with Google. I would love to see this happen. I personally don’t trust Microsoft and would feel much safer with Google owning all my data. Now, I know Google is probably just as untrustworthy lately, but they seem to have a better track record for acquiring sites and technologies than the big M.
