The I.T. Life

So, starting from the top. Last night I bought a few new toys. I bought the Apple Wireless keyboard.

I love it, it is basically the exact same layout and size as the macbook keyboard but I think it feels nicer. Plus the whole wireless aspect is still oh so slick. I must say this is a well built and designed keyboard, so small and thin. No real solid complaints, I guess I would like if the LED light on it changed color when it was trying to connect to a device, or when it was turning off. It only has a green light, I think if it could go red when it was turning off, and maybe yellow when it was connecting that would be a lot more useful. Oh well. I am going to go get the wireless mighty mouse tonight. It has some pretty cool features. It has no physical buttons, only the scroll ball on the top. I think that will take some getting used to for me, I alwayse liked the scroll wheel. Aside from that I am very excited about the touch sensitive buttons on the top and side that can trigger expose, different desktops and all that useful stuff. Either way, it should be slick.

Aside from that, time for some news. Microsoft has denied rumors of a blu-ray addon for the 360 with Sony. Personally, I think they need this device, even if it is not with Sony, this has to happen eventually. HD is officially dead, all studios have switched, and there is already a date for the last HD disc to be burnt.  Next is Apple, well, they are being sued. Apearantly they are infringing on a parent with the itunes store, and even the techology in the ipod. I personally am getting sick and tired of this. Even if they did steal this technology (I wouldn’t be suprised) I think nobody is going to win a lawsuit about this, considering it has been on the market for almsot 10 years (itunes store) and even longer for the ipod. Gibson is suing Activision over Guitarhero. Gibson has a patent from 98′ that is a virtual covert. It involved a headset, 2 stereo speakers, and allows somebody to pretend they are the lead guitarist. I think guitarhero is similar, but not near grounds for parent infringment. Gibson is saying that Activision needs to register there product under Gibsons patent… But isn’t Gibson a pretty big partner with this game? Well, thats it for now folks.
