The I.T. Life

So, I’m getting a bit tired of not enjoying the winter. I have gone one skiing once, and that was about it. Ive made attempts at going for a walk but ice has stopped me. This gave me a idea, which will results in a purchase. I am going to buy 2 pairs of these this weekend (one for beth). Basically, they strap to my boots, and have metal spikes on the bottom, they dig into the ice. The hope is I can walk on ice, just as well as on pavement. Also, since I will be carrying my camera, I will also bring my GPS along, and I will record my route. The purpose of this is to geotag my photos. How it works, is my photos all have imbeded into them, a data/time stamp. My GPS, will also log the date/time of each location, along with the exact location. Using some software, I match the times and then have the exact location of my photo. I can then put them on flickr and be able to view a map with the location of the pictures. I will show the results of this when I am done, assuming the ice grips work and I dont slip and kill myself.
